Work Experience
Joining CSC as a fresh scientist, how has your experience been so far, and what have you learned from working alongside experienced colleagues?
My experience at CSC has been incredibly enriching. The supportive environment and collaborative culture have allowed me to learn from a diverse group of highly skilled professionals. I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the technical intricacies of cell culture media and have developed a strong sense of pride in the performance of our CELLiST media, especially during projects like media screening experiments requested by clients.

Daily Workflow
What does your typical day look like at CSC, and how do you collaborate with the team to achieve research goals?
A typical day at CSC involves a mix of research activities and collaborative discussions. My responsibilities include cell culture experiments and analysis, managing cell culture media development, optimizing processes, and I also make sure that laboratory consumables are well supplied. Team collaboration is central to our success. We hold detailed discussions in team meetings to design experiments and coordinate closely with the technical group to create client-specific prototypes. Additionally, we provide technical support to the sales team, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.
Projects & Achievements
Could you share details about a specific task or project you’ve worked on at CSC that has taught you something valuable or left a significant impression?
One of the most rewarding projects I’ve worked on was a CELLiST media screening experiment for a client. This project reinforced my confidence in the superior performance of our CELLiST media. It also taught me the importance of tailoring solutions to meet the unique requirements of each cell line, which often involves conducting detailed analyses like spent media analysis to identify the cell's specific needs.
Challenges in Media Development
In your role, what are some challenges you face in optimizing cell culture media, and how do you approach overcoming them?
One of the biggest challenges is addressing the distinct nutritional and environmental needs of different cell lines. Since there is rarely a one-size-fits-all solution, it requires a meticulous approach to identify the optimal media composition. Techniques like spent media analysis allow us to better understand the metabolic demands of cells and design customized solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
Future Goals
As one of the youngest members at CSC, how do you envision your role evolving in the coming years, and what contributions do you hope to make to the field of biopharmaceuticals?
As a member of CSC, I aspire to become a trusted resource for clients facing challenges with cell culture media. My goal is to contribute positively to the team by bringing energy, innovative ideas, and a client-focused mindset. In the long term, I hope to make meaningful contributions to advancing biopharmaceutical production by enhancing the efficiency and reliability of cell culture processes.
