About His Tenure at ACK:

You have been the president of ACK for the past 5 years.
What are some of the key achievements and milestones that you are most proud of during your tenure?

Thanks to the collective efforts of all ACK employees, we have not only enhanced our existing functions but also developed new capabilities. This has allowed us to establish a robust system that enables us to swiftly deliver products and services to our customers. Through these ongoing efforts, we are ready to drive future growth for ACK.

Can you share some of the significant challenges you faced while leading ACK and how you overcame them?

There was a significant issue within our company at one point, and unfortunately, there were delays in identifying the problem. This experience made
me acutely aware of the responsibility that management, myself included, has in fostering a culture where
issues are promptly recognized. To cultivate an open and transparent organizational culture where all employees feel comfortable speaking up, we have been adjusting our management approach. This remains an ongoing challenge, and I believe that management must continuously innovate to improve our organizational culture moving forward.

Experiences and Insights:

How has the collaboration within the team and with external partners evolved over the years?
Any specific projects or partnerships that you would highlight?

Each year, we have expanded our collaborations with numerous customers, including South Korea's Celltrion and Prestige Biologics, as well as
Japan's Chugai Pharmaceutical and Daiichi Sankyo. Through these partnerships, we have been able to deliver significant value to our customers with
ACK's cell culture media and services.

Future Plans and Transition:

As you prepare to move back to Japan for a new role,
can you tell us more about what your new responsibilities will be and what you are looking forward to?

I will be transitioning to Ajinomoto's research laboratory, where I will oversee several research groups in the healthcare field, including those focused on
cell culture media for biologics produced by ACK. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the future growth and expansion of ACK's business through these efforts.

What is your vision for ACK’s future, and how do you see the company evolving in the next 10 years?

I am confident that ACK will experience substantial growth over the next decade, continuing to establish itself as a leading supplier of raw materials for biopharmaceuticals and becoming an indispensable partner for biopharmaceutical companies.
