Ajinomoto CELLiST Korea, the developer and manufacturer of the cell culture medium brand ‘CELLiST’, announced that it carried out ‘Coal Briquette Volunteer Work’ to provide warm year-end to the local community.

The coal briquette volunteer work held on December 20 in Geumgok-dong, Dong-gu, Incheon was carried out in conjunction with Incheon Coal Briquette Bank and Bapsang Community.

In this year’s volunteer work, approximately 30 company employees delivered coal briquettes directly to energy-vulnerable and low-income households in the local community, gifting them a warm winter. The employees visited households that had difficulty heating during the winter and shared their warmth, realizing the value of coexistence in the local community.


 

Incheon Coal Briquette Bank and Bapsang Community are non-profit organizations that provide coal briquettes and share daily necessities for the energy-deprived class, and they deliver warmth to numerous households every year. Through these organizations, Ajinomoto CELLiST Korea supported more households to receive the benefits.

An official from Ajinomoto CELLiST Korea said, “It is very meaningful to practice warm sharing as a member of the local community,” and added, “We will continue to be a company that works together with local residents through various social contribution activities.”

Ajinomoto CELLiST Korea has been carrying out various social contribution activities to realize sustainable social responsibility, such as volunteering at a free meal center at Incheon Namdong Welfare Center for the Disabled with its employees during the Chuseok holiday in September, and plans to continuously expand customized volunteer activities that reflect the needs of the local community in the future.
