Ajinomoto instant product ‘Bono Soup’, supplies provided to vulnerable groups in Yeonsu-gu area


Ajinomoto Genexine's cell culture medium brand CELLiST, headquartered in Songdo, Incheon, practiced warm sharing of love for local residents at the end of the year.


CELLiST announced that it donated ‘Bono Soup,’ Ajinomoto’s instant soup product, to Incheon Yeonsu Community Welfare Center as part of its corporate social contribution activities.


The delivery ceremony held on the 15th was held at the Yeonsu Social Welfare Center located in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, with welfare center and CELLiST officials in attendance.


Bono soup, a sponsored item, is provided as lunch to seniors at the Yeonsu Community Welfare Center, and is also delivered to neighbors in need in the Yeonsu-gu area, such as after-school classes in Yeonsu 2-dong, low-income families, and multicultural families.


Yeonsu Community Welfare Center is an organization run by the Onsesang Sharing Foundation that carries out welfare for the elderly, child and youth welfare, and projects to revitalize the social economy. Since its opening in 1992, it has specialized in helping local residents lead happy lives. We provide welfare services.


Ajinomoto Genexine is a joint venture established in 2012 by global company Ajinomoto and domestic bio venture Genexine. By producing cell culture media for the first time in Korea, we achieved the domestic production of cell culture media for biopharmaceutical production, which had previously been entirely dependent on imports.


Through the cell culture medium brand CELLiST, we are providing development and manufacturing of animal cell culture medium containing high-quality amino acids that meets both cell growth speed and protein production capacity, as well as medium consignment production services. In addition, we are supplying cell culture media based on the ‘Switch Program’ service that can be changed according to customer demand.


An official from Ajinomoto Genexine said, “Despite the global economic downturn, we have achieved remarkable growth in just 10 years of establishment by steadily expanding our market share along with an increase in sales profits compared to the previous year,” adding, “As we have grown thanks to the support we have received so far, we will continue to give back to local residents as well as various fields.” “We will carry out whatever social contribution activities we can,” he said.
