Ajinomoto Genexine announced that it held an event commemorating its 10th anniversary at the Sapphire Hall of Paradise City Hotel in Incheon on the 15th.


At this founding anniversary event, about 140 key guests, including Ajinomoto Genexine executives such as Ajinomoto Genexine CEO Nakai Yuta, Genexine CEO Neil Warma, Ajinomoto Business Division Head, and representatives of Ajinomoto Group affiliates, as well as executives from major customer companies, attended.


Yuta Nakai, CEO of Ajinomoto Genexine, said in a welcoming speech, “We were able to safely celebrate our 10th anniversary with the help of our customers, suppliers, partners, and various stakeholders. Over the past 10 years, I have experienced many changes, going back and forth between deficits and surpluses, but I would like to thank my customers who trusted me and supported me even during difficult times. “We will continue to contribute to society through cell culture media that can produce better quality and performance.”


After the welcome speech, special performances began with guest introductions and congratulatory speeches celebrating the 10th anniversary, followed by vision performance, final performance, touch ceremony, and dance using media art in the dark.


Ajinomoto Genexine is a joint venture established in 2012 by global company Ajinomoto and domestic bio venture Genexine. Ajinomoto's manufacturing technology and know-how accumulated over 30 years have been added to the 'CELLiST' series, a cell culture medium brand that contains high-quality amino acids and meets both cell growth speed and protein production capacity.


CELLiST manufactures and supplies cell culture media, which had previously been entirely dependent on overseas imports, at domestic factories, and works with pharmaceutical and bio companies around the world through the 'Switch Program' service, which allows cell culture media to be changed according to customer demand. It is being supplied to biotechnology research institutes, etc.


In addition, Ajinomoto Genexine's sales profits increased compared to the previous year despite the global economic recession, and its market share is steadily increasing. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we plan to strive to develop new products, various systems and services, and expand distribution channels to become a global cell culture medium specialist beyond Korea.
